Welcome to BelieveBeBaptized.com.
Getting baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is unclear to so many Christians. Does one really need to get baptized to be saved from their sins? What does the bible say? Jesus did it to "fulfill all righteousness" (Matthew 28:15).
First we need to hear the word. “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!” (Romans 10:15)

Then of course, your heart has to be open and willing to believe. "But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance." (Luke 8:15).
Once we hear the word, we need to understand that we all fall short of the glory of God and we are all sinners "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"        (Romans 3:23), and that we need to humble ourselves and repent of our sins. It has nothing to do with how good we are, or think we are by our standards.
As God says in Isaiah 55:8-9, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts."
Indeed, also how we measure our righteousness is not how God measures it.
Okay, so now you have heard the word. Your heart is ready to understand it. You understand that though a person may feel as if they are "generally a good person", and may even give to charities, volunteer, and help people cross the street, that is how man measures, not as God does. But what if you feel as if you have done many wrongs and feel beyond the forgiveness of God.
Remember that, "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him." (John 3:17). That's great news! In fact, that is the Good News. That Jesus Christ has died for our sins. If we can understand that, if we can wrap our head around it, then there is only one thing left to do.
Get baptized into Christ for the remission of your sins and receive the Holy Spirit!!    (Acts 2:38) Really it is that simple. Now back to the beginning of the page. Does one really need to get baptized? Well, Christ did it. And he was baptized into water. Now there is a debate amongst Christians. Do we need to get baptized by water. Or do we get baptized into Christ at some other time. If you are baptized by water as Christ did, you know exactly when you were and if you do not get baptized by water, then when exactly did it happen?
It's just a small thing really that has no small consequences! Is it a matter of pride or self will that cause one to stumble over this? To not obey will have dire results with an eternal outcome.
